Logo Refresh & Rebrand: Serendipity Road, Shop with Moxie, and Joyful Tantrum
I’ve been cheerfully collaborating with Julia Kepler on logos and brand identities since Serendipity Road opened in Midland in 2017. Since then, she has expanded with two additional shops: Joyful Tantrum and Joyful Tantrum Recess, the latter of which has recently rebranded to Shop with Moxie!
Serendipity Road is a small business that supports small businesses in the form of a gift boutique. Joyful Tantrum is a toy store unplugged so you can plug in with those you love. Shop with Moxie is a delightful blend of both—a gift shop and toy store nestled in Midland’s ‘The Neighborhood’.
All three locations needed branding that captured the joy they bring to the community and worked cohesively together.
The logo for Serendipity Road has stood the test of time, but it predates our offering of style guides! We created a colorful version of the logo to coordinate with the others and developed a comprehensive style guide to ensure all three brands work seamlessly together.
Joyful Tantrum’s original logo featured toy block letters and a script font. For the refresh, we opted for a more playful and chunky sans serif font, reimagining the sun from the original Joyful Tantrum Recess logo to bring a fun and vibrant touch.
For Shop with Moxie, Julia requested a complete rebrand due to some confusion with the previous name. We wanted this new identity to reflect the essence of both downtown stores. By incorporating elements from both original logos and using one font from each, we created a brand identity that exudes playfulness and chicness, embodying the spirit of all locations!
We’re thrilled to unveil the new logos and style guides. Scroll down to explore how these refreshed identities bring a cohesive and joyful presence to each store.
If you’re searching for unique gifts or fun items for yourself or the kids in your life, I highly recommend visiting these shops! Learn more about all three at shopwithmoxie.com.
In an effort to foster a creatives community I’ve started a Facebook group called Art is a Record Creatives Community, the same name as this blog. I would love for you to join in the fun as we discuss creative living, projects, art, and life.
